In many applications, SSDs are subject to challenging conditions. If the working environment is already hot, and the SSD’s operation causes it to increase in temperature as well, the result could be damage to the hardware or corrupted data.

For this reason, Thermal Throttling was developed. The advantage of this technology is that it protects SSDs from damage due to high temperatures, but this comes at a cost: performance has to be reduced to lower the temperature.

Apacer’s CoreGlacier™ presents another solution to this problem. It helps keep an SSD cool and functioning correctly, thanks to a proprietary Apacer technology that transfers heat to a fluid medium and enhances an SSD’s heat dissipation ability, especially for NAND Flash component to ensure an SSD's high speed performnace.
