Apacer Industrial - The most reliable storage and memory for industries

In response to the recent outbreak of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Taiwan, Apacer (TWSE:8271) announced on May 17, 2021 that it has entered split operation mode. Some colleagues will be working from home, but those in the office will need to measure their body temperature daily before entering and always wear masks. Working hours will become more flexible, while visitors will be strictly prohibited. Meetings will be held online whenever possible to uphold safety. 

Apacer first began preparing workflow changes related to the pandemic last week, and they took effect on the morning of May 17, 2021. Safety of employees will take first priority, while production will continue under the division of labor model. Since most employees live in Taipei or New Taipei City, Apacer will offer childcare leave and quarantine leave as needed. As for the shareholders meeting that was originally scheduled for May 27, it will be held in accordance with the regulations of the Central Epidemic Command Center and the competent authority of the Financial Supervisory Commission. Measures can be adjusted flexibly at any time, but it is planned to go ahead as scheduled. 

Although this local outbreak has spread rapidly, since Apacer planned emergency measures and conducted simulation exercises last year, colleagues were able to adapt immediately. Speaking to our important partners and customers, President C. K. Chang said that whether it’s the factory, supply chain, or shipping team, a variety of strategies have been arranged internally to ensure that the impact on production schedules and shipments is minimized. 

Facing the pandemic requires a coordinated global struggle, and Apacer will do its best to work together with employees and partners to fulfill corporate social responsibility, evolve towards sustainable operation, and uphold the rights of all stakeholders.
